How the awards work

The process from nomination to honouree.

Nomination
The first step. Leaders and enterprises can be nominated by themselves, their organisation, colleagues, peers, partners, communications teams or the GCEIP research desk.
Awards 2027
The 2027 recognition cycle of Transformational Leaders & Enterprises™, with Barcelona in April 2027 and London in September 2027. Nominations are open.
Eligibility
Who qualifies in each edition, by region, role and type of enterprise. Transformations are assessed over the last 24 to 36 months.
Integrity screening
Checks for regulatory action, material litigation, governance failures and adverse media before an entry goes further.
Scoring
Entries are scored out of 100 on published criteria, on the Transformational Leadership Index™ or the Transformational Enterprise Index™.
Shortlist
The entries that go forward to the jury after review and screening.
Jury
The panel that reviews the scores and evidence and confirms the honourees. Jurors declare any conflict of interest and step back from the entry concerned.
Honouree
A leader or enterprise recognised by GCEIP. Every honouree is recorded with the edition and year (also spelled honoree).
Recognition standard
The seven standards behind GCEIP recognition: defined eligibility, review of every nomination, published criteria, selection by jury, conflict-of-interest declarations, a permanent honouree record and editorial context.
Award ceremony, gala and recognition ceremony
The on-stage moment when honourees are recognised, in Dubai, Barcelona or London.
Conclave
A GCEIP gathering of leaders for conversations, networking and recognition, such as the Global Business Conclave 2026 in London.
Summit
A GCEIP leadership programme of sessions and recognition, such as The Architects.
Editorial story
A GCEIP-published story about a leader or enterprise. Editorial is labelled as editorial and is separate from award recognition.
